Margaret Thatcher passes on at 87

Britain's first female prime minister Margaret Thatcher dies peacefully at home at the age of 87.  "The Iron Lady" will be remembered for steering Britain through the rough economic seas of the 1980s with her her bold economic policies.

The characteristic blue buses and taxis that we've become used to over the past decade or so will soon be a thing of the past as Government will soon require all PSVs to be painted orange.

Grow Up! - ZCID

The Zambia Center for Inter-Party Dialogue (ZCID) has described as barbaric and undemocratic the character assassinating type of politics that has continued to characterize the ongoing campaigns in Kapiri Mposhi and Lukulu West parliamentary by-elections.
ZCID Executive Director Horrance Chilando has noted that people that continue assassinate their political opponent's character do not have anything to offer and that electorates in the two constituencies should judge people on such conducts when voting.

Mr. Chilando has however expressed hope that with the establishment of a Commission for Political Parties in the on going constitution making process such misconduct as witnessed from some political parties will be firmly dealt with.

He was speaking in an interview with Qfm.

Goal filled weekend!

What a weekend!.

21 goals were scored in the in the MTN FAZ Super League this weekend. With such a goal scoring record one might wonder why the national team is lacking that striking lethal touch!  Is it that the defence and goal keeping areas in the country are poor or has the strike force just upped their game?  Though it is clear that just too many penalties have been given this previous weekend it is important to note the improvement in the attacking ability of many Zambian teams.

I hope our beloved coach Harve Renard will spot 2 or 3 fresh faces to spice up our striking force

Scott Represents Zambia at Kenyatta Inauguration

Vice President, Guy Scott, is expected to arrive in Nairobi tomorrow to attend the inauguration of Kenya’s fourth President, Uhuru Kenyatta, on Tuesday April 9, 2013.
Dr Scott is scheduled to arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport around 17.00 hours local time.
Zambia’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Mary Zambezi, confirmed when she briefed the advance delegation of the Vice President at the Zambian Mission in Nairobi today that Dr Scott will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Kenya’s President-elect, Uhuru Kenyatta, at the Kasarani Sports Complex in the capital.
Uhuru Kenyatta is the son of Kenya’s first President, Jomo Kenyatta, and won the March 4 Presidential polls by 50.07 per cent, eliminating the possibility of a run-off against his closest rival, Raila Odinga of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) who scored 43.2 per cent in an election which recorded 86 per cent voter turn-out.
Uhuru Kenyatta is currently the Deputy Prime Minister of Kenya under the ruling National Alliance Party and has previously served as Finance Minister.
The inauguration of Mr Kenyatta was delayed following a Supreme Court petition by Mr Odinga but the bench upheld the election of Kenyatta on March 30 as the country’s next president.
Meanwhile, High Commissioner Zambezi, who recently presented her credentials to Seychells and Israel to which she is also designated, says there is great potential for business opportunities between Zambia and the two countries.
High Commissioner Zambezi presented her credentials to Israeli President, Shimon Perez, on March 28 and to Seychelles President, James Michel, last week on April 2.
She extended invitations to both presidents to visit Zambia with their respective business delegations to explore the southern African country’s huge investment potential in agriculture, tourism and other emerging sectors of the economy.
Israel has one of the world’s most advanced irrigation technology systems and offers training expertise in various fields of agriculture which High Commissioner Zambezi says should be brought to Zambia to help further improve the new farming blocks created by government in some selected parts of the government.
High Commissioner Zambezi also said there is a lot that Zambia can learn from both Israel and Seychelles in terms of economic development through agriculture and tourism which the two countries boast of respectively.
She also revealed that in terms of tourism, Zambia and Seychelles are further extending their mutual benefit from the natural resources where Seychelles is one of the world’s favoured tourist destinations while Zambia boasts of having one of the world’s seven wonders, the Victoria Falls.
High Commissioner Zambezi said in a few months time the Seychelles national carrier will increase flights between Nairobi and Johannesburg from Livingstone which hosts the Victoria Falls and a variety of animal parks which the tourists from that country could take advantage of to see by combining their trips to view both the falls and the wild life abundant in Zambia.
“It is incumbent upon us the political leadership not to merely pay lip service when we are appointed into foreign service but instead explore investment opportunities to help improve our economy back home,” said High Commissioner Zambezi.
Meanwhile, the Zambian Mission in Kenya has also held several meetings aimed at exploring business opportunities with the private sector in Nairobi to woo them to explore Zambia’s vast tourism potential.
Kenya has a vibrant tourism economy which draws millions of foreign tourists per annum and earns the country foreign exchange to support at least 95 per cent of the national budget.
The Patriotic Front (PF) government has put tourism at the centre of economic development as an emerging sector which can significantly contribute to the national treasury and job creation if well harnessed.

Mary Magambo Exposed

Lottie Phiri

Mary Magambo

Zesco United striker Lottie Phiri last night took to Facebook to call out ZNBC newscaster Mary Magambo.  The 25 year old Petauke native claims Mary was on a campaign that included sending nude pics of herself to woo the Zega scoring ace.

"Let me expose this mary magambo from znbc, she came in my life a year ago and ask me to marry her,she has two kids, boyfriends, ministers, musicians businessmen, footballs, bus drivers, etc and when I said no to her,she start dating a football from gbfc thinking she will hurt me,to all men out they she is a bitch like those in bars at night, mary I can not marry a girl like u,before I meet you sent nicked pictures"

Chansa joins Matsatsantsa

Chansa to sign for Supersport thumbnail Chipolopolo midfielder Isaac Chansa arrives in South Africa on Monday afternoon and is set for a medical assessment at SuperSport United.

According to KickOff.com the former Orlando Pirates midfielder is not currently training with Gavin Hunt’s squad, but will hold contract talks with Matsatsantsa next week should his medical prove satisfactory.SuperSport goalkeeper

Rowen Fernandez reacted to the reports that the Zambia international was already at SuperSport on Twitter with a sarcastic: “really???”

Chansa is a free agent after being released by Chinese club Henan Jianye following their relegation last season. Pirates have already ruled out the possibility of bringing the 29-year-old back, but Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits are understood to be monitoring his situation.
Moroka Swallows and Maritzburg United are also believed to be keen on the Africa Cup of Nations winner’s services, but could be put off by his wage demands.
Should he complete the move, Chansa will join country men Davies Nkausu and Clifford Mulenga who are both on the books of Supersport.

Government suspends export of maize till food security is verified

Bob Sichinga

Government has suspended the export of maize and maize products until the status of the food security within the country has been verified, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Robert Sichinga has said.

Mr Sichinga announced the ban yesterday and said that all export permits issued by the Ministry of Agriculture for maize and maize products including mealie meal have been revoked with immediate effect.

Mr Sichinga said investigation conducted within the Ministry and by the Police had indicated that there were weaknesses and questionable procedures being practiced in the Ministry over the issuance of export licenses.

“Following a number of concerns on the national food security situation that have been raised by various stakeholders, I wish to announce that it is clear from the investigations carried out so far by police and within my Ministry that there are weaknesses and questionable procedures being practiced in this Ministry over issuance of export licenses, arising from the forgoing, I have decided to suspend export of maize and maize products with immediate effect” he said.

He said further investigation had been instituted to get to the root cause and warned that any officer who would be found wanting will be dealt with according to the findings on the offense committed.
Mr Sichinga however said traders who have already loaded trucks in readiness for export will be allowed to complete their transaction upon verification by officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock.

Song Review: Mag44 - Shipikisha Club

Lota House super producer Mag44's latest offering "Shipikisha Club"  is on review today.

As we've come to expect from a producer of his calibre with his wealth of experience, the song is a well-balanced, melodic and very pleasing piece of music.  The song has a bit of an RnB feel with a certain African bounce about it.  It is on the short side, being only 3 minutes and 28 seconds long.

Credit must be given to Mag44 for his brand of gospel music which is not overly preachy so as to scare away the non-religiously inclined. Him and Pompi have found a niche in doing songs that are more about real life situations and how a Christian ought to carry themselves.  There is a real familiarity with his delivery; the dialogue with his father  plays out extremely well in the mind's eye. The hook does have a certain corniness about it, which could do it for others but certainly did not impress me.

Magnus has indeed come a long way as a rapper.  I've never really been impressed with his English delivery (from as far back as his feature on Slapdee's song "One" from the So-Che album).  However, he has shown real growth and maturity as an emcee, and he blends his vernacular almost seamlessly with the Queens without sounding awkward as others might.

Overall, the song is beautifully crafted piece of music.  It should be in our playlists for a while to come.  I have doubts as to whether it will be a chart-topper as it lacks a certain something, that wow-factor that makes you want to put it on repeat all day.

VERDICT:

Four stars for Magnus Mando!  The je ne sais quoi alluded to earlier is the reason for my giving this one only four stars.  His fans should take heart however, based on his massive talent I'm sure we'll hear five-star material from him sooner rather than later.

The boys from Lota House do not disappoint when it comes to live shows and his album launch on the 28th at Barclays Sports Complex in Lusaka is definitely one to scribble in your diary!

Zanaco seek to revenge Pirates

By Kalusha Mwansa

The high-tech security of banks, the vaults, the cameras, the password locked doors, the entry and exit delay doors, were penetrated by the much primitive sword carrying, eye patched, wooden legged, canon blowing, ship sailing sea thieves with only one all-important catapault shot that proved to enable them to steal a famous victory from the bankers right on their own turf.

One might wonder how the sea thieves could have managed to pull off this job in a land locked nation. Well many views have been given as to how this was done, we even heard the bank manager throw the blame at their number one security officer, Racha Kola. I talked to a few bank customers who expressed displeasure with how the manager handled the whole incident.

PersonallyI think the bankers concentrated too much on marking their family mate, Collins, who they thought would expose their faulty security doors and take advantage but forgot about the remaining pirates.

Anyway that aside, this weekend the bankers travel to South Africa to try and get back what was stolen from them, so the big question is 'WILL THEY MAKE IT?'.... Judging by the recent run, one
might be tempted to say 'NO' but hey this is an unpredictable battle.

I trust that Mr Mumba has assembled a strong side to face the pirates that has put behind they last two beatings at both the hands of the pirates and the army men. Saturday all roads lead to Soccer City (the
pirates ship) were this epic battle will be concluded.  May the best team win!.

Week 3 Super League Preview

By Kalusha Mwansa

Forget United vs City...  think Nkana vs Kalulushi Modern Stars!  These are two names that could not have been named in the same sentence last season but that is not the case this year.  Currently sitting at the top of the table this newly promoted side has arguably been the best team thus far.  Getting maximum points from their previous game with a pretty impressive goal difference the little town boys are really shining at the top!  Some may argue they have not yet met worthy and/or strong opposition but that comes to test this weekend when they face the most supported and successful team in the FAZ Super League in the form of Nkana, at their 'fortress of torture' or the Zambian version of the Theater of Dreams, the recently refurbished Nkana stadium commonly known as 'Chilata'. This promises to be a match to watch as all roads lead to Wusakile.

Other games see last seasons runners-up Power visit police outfit
Nkwazi at Edwin Imboela stadium, in Kabwe it will be a battle of

KR 3.2bn in Circulation

The Bank of Zambia has circulated about three point two billion kwacha of the rebased currency as of the end of March this year.
Out of the three point two billion that has been circulated, Thirteen point seven million kwacha are coins.

BOZ head of public relations Kanguya Mayondi has disclosed to Qfm that such a sum of coins that have been distributed denotes that there ought to be adequate change available on the market.

Mr. Mayondi has also refuted assertions that the distributed coins in the country may be forced out of circulation due the alleged stigmatization they have been receiving in the country.

Mr. Mayondi has further encouraged members of the public to ensure that they specify their needs with their bankers, who are compelled to ensure that there is customer satisfaction at all times.

He said the central Bank takes this matter seriously and will always wish to ensure that there is no mismatch of any sort on the market.

He added that Customer service and consumer protection rank very highly on the BOZ priority lists and that is why there are specific, fully-fledged Departments such as the Bank Supervision Department to ensure that these tenets are exercised and that members of the public are protected.

He reiterated that should there be any complaints against any commercial bank or any player in the financial sector, members of the public should be encouraged to communicate to the Bank of Zambia which will take appropriate measures to remedy any anomaly.

No 'Messi' in Paris for Barca

By our dedicated soccer analyst Kalusha Mwansa

It was one of the most awaited games of the quarters.  Just  the names just ran chills down your spine: the legendary David Beckham, skillful Xavi, exceptional Ibrahimovic, hard working Iniesta... and yes the star of it all the little magician Lionel Messi. But did it fulfill our expectations?

From kick off we all knew we had a match on our hands with PSG looking the most threatening and ambitious of the two sides.  Within a few minutes PSG came close to taking an unexpected lead and that proved to be the turning point of the game...  The magic wand was waved.

I would not necessarily say it was a one way traffic, but yes, Barcelona had the upper hand before you knew it.  The net was shaking and who else apart from the record breaking Messi who connected an out-of-this-world pass from Alves with a brilliant finish.  And then the game sprung to life, exchange after exchange but no goal was to come hence forth. Deep at the end of the half the unthinkable happened, Leo held his hamstring and we all smelt danger, our perceptions proved right and that was the end of the half  as well as Magic Man's contribution.

The second half started on a similar note with Cesc replacing the injured Leo, with the million dollar question being 'WILL THERE BE A DIFFERENCE?'. The game kicked off and PSG showed their intentions of getting an equalizer and they would not be denied for long as Ibrahimovic got the equaliser in very controversial circumstances that makes one question the use of linesman close to the goal. From this point Barca did all they could with Alexis failing to convert two clear chances.

It was only late in the game that the sparks of the game started flying and just near the end of regulation time the Catalonians were awarded a penalty after the goal keeper brought down Alexis.  Xavi buried the goal and game you might say....but no that was not it. Late in additional time when we thought it was all over, PSG scored.  A slight deflection from the defender with Valdes almost going the wrong way, but still could not turn his body enough and only got his finger tips on it. Two-all it ended.

All-in-all I think Barcelona are too dependent on the availability of Leo up front and that served as a lesson for them. And my man of the match? Ill go for Danny Alves.

look out for Kalusha's Weekend preview tomorrow!

Riots Erupt in Katete

 ROYD MOONGA
Riots  have broken out in Katete following the murder of grade 12 pupil of Katete Day High School last week as she was returning from school.

Pupils from various schools in Katete and Chipata set ablaze shops owned by suspects linked to the  murder of the teenage girl.  Sources have disclosed that Kaysons Wholesalers, an Asian-owned shop, is currently on fire and Mr Paris Shop  have been burnt to ashes.  Looters spared only Pep and DAPP Stores, with one police officer suffering a broken leg in the chaos.

Police last week lauched a Man hunt for the killers and managed to nab one suspect who has since disclosed several names of local and Indian Businesmen involved in the suspected ritual murders.

King David's Early Goal Not Enough for 3 Points

Orlando Pirates failed to take advantage of Kaizer Chiefs dropping points as the Buccaneers played to a 1-1 draw against AmaZulu in an Absa Premiership match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday night.

With the result Pirates remain seven points behind Chiefs who played to a 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United also on Wednesday night.

Pirates did get off to the perfect start as Collins Mbesuma opened the scoring as early as the fourth minute after being set-up on goal by Oupa Manyisa. All the Zambian had to do was tap the ball home and he made no mistake, 1-0.

However, after falling behind AmaZulu woke to the task and started applying pressure on the Buccaneers goal.

Only some brilliant keeping kept Pirates in the lead as Senzo Meyiwa produced a great fingertip save to deny Goodman Dlamini the equaliser.

In the 35th minute, though, there was nothing Meyiwa could do as he watched a thunderous Thamsanqa Teyise free-kick sail narrowly over the crossbar to the keeper’s relief.

The second period started with Pirates looking to add to their goal and had two good chances through Khetowakhe Masuku, but on both occasions the player failed to find the target as he shooting proved wasteful.

AmaZulu would make the Buccaneers pay for their wasted opportunities when Goodman Dlamini found the equaliser in the 59th minute, latching onto a rebound that the Pirates defence failed to deal with, 1-1.

The game ended with neither side really creating any more decent goal scoring chances.

Homosexual Couples Face Jail Time

By CLAVER MUTINTA

MINISTER of Home Affairs Edgar Lungu says the police should bring to book couples who attempted to register same-sex marriages with the local authority in Lusaka over Easter.
On Saturday, four couples made up of four Zambian students and the men of foreign origin approached marriage registrar, Henry Kapata, trying to register their gay marriages but Mr Kapata sent them away.

The couples are Ritch Hemman, 64 and George Nsama, 26, Clive Reeves, 48, and Bruce Lianda, 22, Jones MacPherson, 36, and Sylvester Sichilima 30 and Humphrey Ray, 53 and Caleb Muswema, 34.
Mr Lungu said yesterday that the police should investigate the matter and establish the truth as Government does not support homosexuality.

“If the men are found to have committed any offence, action should be taken accordingly,” he said.
He said it is not for him to direct the police to pursue the gay men because the officers are competent enough to discharge their duties if an offence has been committed.

“It is a pity that foreigners have started bringing this thing to us now. We are on dangerous ground where people are bringing new things to us and we are watching.

“The police must do their work…same-sex marriages are not a normal thing and we do tolerate such,” he said.

The minister said Zambian law does not support same-sex marriages and it is shocking that some people can come out in the open and attempt to register an illegal practice.
Mr Lungu challenged the church and community to condemn same-sex marriages and not embrace alien practices.

He said gay marriages have created problems in countries where they are allowed and that Zambia is not ready for the acts.

And Lusaka province commissioner Joyce Kasosa said the police will only start investigating when Mr Kapata reports the matter to the police.

She said police have no basis on which to commence investigations in the absence of a formal complaint or report.

“We want the person who witnessed the event to help us to start investigations,” she said.
Ms Kasosa said police are aware that there could be bad practices in the communities which are not reported to law enforcement officers.

Referendum Coming! - Wynter

Wynter Kabimba

Government has categorically stated that the Draft Republican Constitution currently under debate will be adopted through a referendum.

Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba said in Lusaka yesterday that the Patriotic Front (PF) constitution was clear that the republican constitution should be adopted through a referendum.

Mr Kabimba said the form the referendum would take was, however, dependent on the structure of the draft report adding that Government was yet to constitute a Referendum Commission as doing so now would be too costly.

He said Government would, however, not accept infusion of external ideas into the process and this would be met with the utmost resistance.

He dismissed assertions that the constitution process lacked a legal guiding framework saying the process had so far not been prejudiced by Government influence.

“The constitution process has not been prejudiced by lack of legislation to it, there has not been any government white paper to say what Government wants but the only caveat is that it should be devoid of external influences,” Mr Kabimba said.

He was speaking when he officiated at the launch of a study on political governance in Zambia.
And Government will soon dispatch a team of officials to the United States of America (USA) for a familiarisation study on operations of District Attorneys, Mr Kabimba has said.

President Michael Sata recently said Government would establish District Attorneys in Zambia to accelerate delivery of justice especially in remote areas.

Mr Kabimba said Mr Sata was determined to ensure the District Attorneys were established and that his ministry was also working diligently to materialise the Head of State’s agenda.

He was speaking in Lusaka yesterday when visiting USA counselor Jeffrey Minear to that nation’s Chief Justice John Roberts paid a courtesy call on him.

“We are hoping that we fast-truck judiciary reforms. We want to have a justice system that will deliver judgment fast. Soon, our officers will also be going to USA to learn more about District Attorneys,” he said.

And Mr Minear commended Zambians for their continued efforts to formulate the new constitution and was confident the document would be realised.

He called for continuous exchange of expertise citing the case where some officers from Zambia would travel to USA on a study tour of operations of the District Attorneys.

Free Our Client, RB's Lawyers Ask Court

RB arrives.  Photo courtesy of Power 99.7
The Defense Team representing former President Rupiah Banda in a case in which he is facing Abuse of Authority of Office charges has asked the Lusaka Magistrate Court to free their client on grounds that the law on which he was arrested and charged does not specify clearly what criminal offense he his facing.

During the commencement of trial this morning before Chief Resident Magistrate Joshua Banda, Mr. Banda's lawyers argued that section 31 as read with section 41 of the ACC ACT No. 3 of 2012 which Mr. Banda was charged for Abuse of Authority of Office is substantially different from Section 89 (1) of penal Code.

The Defense team led by Professor Patrick Mvunga further argued that the ACC ACT No. 3 of 2012 does not operate retrospectively and that the matter is constitutional that should be referred to the High Court for determination.

Meanwhile the Prosecution led by the Director of Public Prosecution Mutembo Nchito contended that the matter in which the former President is charged with Abuse of Authority of Office should not be determined by the High Court as similar case of Godfrey Miyanda and the People failed to be determined High Court in a similar manner.

The Prosecution has further asked for a day more in which to submit more of their arguments in reply to submissions made by the Defense.

The case has since been adjourned to Friday 5th April for continuation of trial.

Mr. Banda's bond has since been extended.

Christian Rapper LuKE9ine Hopes to Make Waves in 2013

It seems another product of Monash University in South Africa is set to make waves on the local gospel scene.  Rapper LuKE9ine (born Lukonde Mwila) is set to put out a brand new mixtape in the course of the year.  Unlike Monash alumnus Pompi who has firmly established himself as a powerhouse in the industry, Luke is still a man on the come-up.  But with his slick rhymes extremely clever wordplay and impressive vocabulary, this young upstart should certainly have peoples heads bumping for a while to come.

Here he is "Rapping in the Reign"

Furore surrounds Mag44's Ice Prince Appearance

Dezert Roze

Mag44

Gospel rapper Magnus Mando aka Mag44 has continued to dominate the headlines all over social media over his appearance at the much hyped Ice Prince show in Lusaka recently.

Songstress Dezert Roze of "Copy Me" fame took to Facebook to come out with the following passionate remarks concerning a snub she received in the recent past:

"Don't tell me you can't record a song with me because you don't do "my kinda music anymore" and then open for a famous secular artist. That makes my skin crawl. Maybe its a lil on the personal side for me but as a Christian, you first deny or attack my faith, judge me after the fact and surely bring on this segregation. Its being a hypocrite and one must give answers as to why they are walking beyond a line they took upon themselves to draw. I have no problem with anyone spreading the Gospel but if ur gonna dissociate yourself from all things secular and project that my ways are wrong, don't turn around and come up with a "reason" to justify your actions because its the famous Ice Prince. Why wasn't the Gospel taken to Macky2's launch?it drew thousands of people!!! #upsetting."

Mag44 was featured on Radio Phoenix on Tuesday to clear the air on his actions.  Judging from reactions across Twitter and Facebook, many fans are still polarised as to their views on Mag44's actions.

Zanaco can take advantage of Pirates’ scoring woes

Zanaco can take advantage of Pirates’ scoring woes

Zambia’s CAF Champions League envoys Zanaco coach Keagan ‘The Journalist’ Mumba believes this weekend’s opponents Orlando Pirates in the second leg have scoring problems.

And Zanaco have been boosted with the return of two key players in Fit-again captain Henry Banda and hard tackling Kunda Mushota. Banda is expected to walk straight in the team as Moses Phiri, who started wide in the 1-0 loss, is ineligible because he wasn’t registered.

For the no-nonsense Mushota, he had to be content with a place on the bench with the impressive Saulani Phiri expected to revert and partner Ziyo Tembo in central defence ahead of Moses Mambia.

In a post match interview after the 1-0 to Red Arrows, the trained journalist said his players could have had an eye on the Pirates and hence could have been trying to avoid injuries.

“It’s demotivating, we are traveling to South África, were there’s a crucial game. Maybe the pirates match played in the minds of the players,” Mumba said.

“Again, I can attribute it (loss) to an early goal, which always unsettles our game.

Zanaco conceded in the 9th minute courtesy of a Lubinda ‘Barotse’ Mundia thanks to a breathtaking counter attacking from the Airmen.

Asked if the result has an impact on the clash against Pirates, Mumba responded, ”Absolutely, it has a direct bearing. It has put us in a tight corner. I hope the strikeforce will tick against Pirates.

Though Pirates have arguably the most praised and talked about Chipolopolo player (Collins Mbesuma) on the streets of Lusaka after his heroics in the 1-1 draw with Lesotho, Mumba believes Zanaco has chance and can come back from the 1-0 loss and book a possible high profile match against TP Mazembe in the next round.

“Our Colleagues drew nil nil which gives us the confidence that they still have problems in terms of scoring

Video Review: B'Flow - Cry of a Woman feat. Judy Yo

Firstly, great audio!!!   Yahya Kaba aka KillaBeats keeps going from strength-to-strength on production.  Much has been said about this "dunka" sound, but Killa is able to make it sound fresh and mature.  As we've come to expect from K-Amy, the song is technically very good.  A lot of young producers can do well to replicate KB's solid engineering skills.

I love a song which tells a story, so this song is right up my street.  The back-and-forth between the two in the verses feels natural.  The diminutive siren Judy is perhaps a tad bit over-reliant on auto-tune, but generally did the song justice.  B'Flow's confident delivery coupled with his strong sense of melody and sweet harmonies make this record very easy on the ear

I enjoyed the visuals very much.  The outstanding hallmark of this vid is undoubtedly the strong theme that was interpreted competently by director Tommy Banda of MT Productions.  Cameos from young restauranteur Lilly Daka, veteran songbird Maureen Lilanda and former Big Brother housemate Mumba certainly added spice to the video. Good clean shots, great lighting and some impressive scenes with the iconic Findeco House as a backdrop made this video worth watching.  Perhaps the only thing I found mildly irritating was Judy's over-enthusiasm in some of her shots in what should otherwise be a very chilled song.  I'd advise her to look up the word "melodramatic" for future reference!

VERDICT:

It's the very first video I'm reviewing... and I think this is what I will use as my datum line.  So it gets four and a half stars!!  A hearty "well-done" to everyone who was involved in this project!!
